Stories play a big part in our life. Whether it’s from a film, a book, or your neighbour, the stories we hear and see inspire us in a significant way. We enjoy them, take comfort in them, and define our aspirations from the characters we love.
A good story affects our emotions deeply, and a well written character is like a mirror to our inner soul. Yet it isn’t just the plots and characters that make a good film. There are many subtle things in filmmaking that provides just the right atmosphere to rock our senses. A small habit, an accent, or the song playing in the background…these are the details that make films or stories so interesting to watch and ponder afterwards.
We as an audience, are always seeking for a good story that we can relate to. No matter it’s a love story that warms our hearts, or an action film that keeps us at the edge of the chair, there are always something fulfilling that we hope to find: humanity, love, courage, bravery, or even evilness.
Studying a good story is what I do, and what you’ll find in my blog. I enjoy watching movies, looking deeply into what makes them so good, and also sharing what the messages are about. Inevitably, from time to time, you might stumble upon a not-so-good piece of work here, but reading them shall provide you a good fun.
I hope you enjoy it.
